mullvad vpn

I was researching vpns recently and came across mullvad which I actually never heard of before. I know all the big players like proton vpn, surfshark, nordvpn and I always had this gut feeling that surfshark and nordvpn were kinda fishy. They spend so much money on marketing and sponsor almost everyone on youtube that it gave me a bit of a red flag so I avoided them.

I usually use proton vpn but only the free version, mostly just to watch shows that I cant get in my country. But recently I have been going more into the privacy route and looked at vpns again. A lot of people recommended mullvad so I went to their website and checked their history. I really like their website, it is simple and they offer a lot of products. They have VPN, browser, DNS, etc which is really nice.

Mullvad is based in sweden and they store no logs, at least thats what they advertise. I found an article on their blog talking about the swedish police raiding mullvad on april 18 2023 and they left empty handed as they really do not store any data from users.

Another thing I really like is that you do not need to give your email address to create an account, you just generate an account number.

They also provide a lot of anonymous payment methods. You can even send them cash in a letter which I think is really neat. They also support paypal and other methods but those leave minimal traces to you.

I will definitely buy their VPN in the future as I really like what they are doing.
